Bengkel ini merupakan anjuran PHT dengan kerjasama Pelantar Penyelidikan USM Kampus Kesihatan dan Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge. 

Sesi pertama dimulai dengan pembentangan tentang senario semasa bidang penyelidikan terutama dari Pusat Pengajian Sains Perubatan telah disampaikan oleh Prof. Zilfalil Alwi. Beliau merupakan Pakar Perunding Pediatrik merangkap Ketua Editor, Buletin GENETIK dan  Malaysian Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health. Diikuti dengan pembentangan oleh Dr. Irfan Mohamad, Editorial Board Member The Medical Journal Of Medical Sciences. Beliau memberi penjelasan tentang penerbitan dan penghasilan artikel untuk journal tersebut dan cabaran yang dihadapi.

Pada sesi sebelah petang diteruskan dengan sesi pengajaran dan pembelajaran oleh Patrick See dari Thomson Reuters Web of Knowledge, Singapura.

Pelbagai pertanyaan dan kemusykilan telah diutarakan oleh peserta berkaitan ISI Web of Knowledge (WoK). Pendekatan secara hands on training amat memberi kesan terutama dari aspek Journal citation Report dan Researcher ID. 

Diharapkan bengkel ini akan memberi impak terhadap kemajuan dalam bidang penyelidikan terutama di USM Kampus Kesihatan.
